ELI ZAVALA. Executive Programming Director. Eli is a culture maker and media entrepreneur, focused on promoting and creating culturally authentic stories with a unique point of view. She joined the Tribeca Short Programming Team in 2024. In 2020 joined the AFI Fest team where she got to be an Associate Programmer in 2022 (currently in hiatus). From 2014 to 2017 she was the curator for the art house film cycle Cinema Libre in partnership with the Cineteca Nacional de México; from 2008 to 2014 she was in charge of co-producing and programming the transnational short film festival El Cine a las Calles (Cinema to the Streets) with presence in the US, Mexico, Honduras, and Colombia. Since 2014 she has been on the board of directors of Cinematográfica y Escénica de México AC, a LatAm film non for profit, assuming the position of Chairwoman of the Board in 2019. Eli is also the founder of Numina and Splinter Pictures, two production houses based in Mexico and NYC respectively, as well as an active founder of La Filmadora a NYC based creative home for storytellers of underrepresented/misrepresented backgrounds and a especial hub for Hispanic & Latin talent. Among her films as a producer is La Tierra Aún Se Mueve (The Earth Still Moves) (2017) considered as one of the best films of the year by the British Film Instituteʼs(BFI) Sight&Sound. She is currently responsible for overseeing the selection of programs, venues, staff, communications, partnerships, filmmaker & community liaisons and outreach necessary to bring Latitudes Cinema to our NYC communities.
DARON JENKINS, Community Outreach Manager. Daron is a passionate and versatile content creator, event producer, and community builder. He excels at building partnerships across functional, cultural, organizational, and global boundaries. He has worked with and built solid relationships with Celebrities, C-Level execs, VIPs, Entrepreneurs, and Influencers from Film, Television, Digital Media, Music, and Entertainment. He previously founded two successful media startups including Film Loft NY, a collective of 800+ storytellers that produce, write, direct, shoot, and edit content for the screen. Being a prolific and tireless professional in the entertainment industry, Daron currently hosts and produces three weekly podcasts exploring the powerful and diverse stories of media, entertainment, music, and pop culture: “12 Million”,“The Tracklist”,and “Drop the Mic” , as well as being the head and community leader for the New York Film/TV Collective and the Community Outreach Manager for Latitudes Cinema.
EDER GUZMAN. Events Coordinator. Eder is an event producer and marketing coordinator in the entertainment industry. Since 2015 he has been performing as a Line/Theater Manager at Tribeca Festival (formerly known as Tribeca Film Festival). Previously, he worked as an assistant venue manager at DOC NYC Film Festival (2022), as an associate producer of NY Swim Week (2021-2022) and as Marketing Coordinator at Harlem Arts Festival (2015-2018). He currently is Latitudes Cinema’s Events Coordinator where he is the liaison between volunteers, staff, and venues with the goal of providing an extraordinary experience to our community audiences and our filmmakers.
LEE MORGAN. Communications. Lee is a communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in strategic public relations, both in the private and nonprofit sectors. Throughout his career, Lee has covered over 100 different industries and projects. He currently leads all our communication strategies through publications, web marketing, social media, media outreach, and conferences with the aim of advancing the mission and community efforts of Latitudes Cinema.
